I did run into 2 issues, both were easily resolved. First when unpacking the crark-7z archive a password is requested, probably because of the sample archives included, just pull out all of the other files, no password required. Second, visual studio distributable was missing on my computer, got it from MS website, installed and everything worked.
After playing around with the password definition file a bit, cracked my forgotten archive password in less than a minute. Fortunately I had some ideas of what it might be, but going through all of the possible variations would have taken so much longer than the time invested in setting up crark-7z. My rating:4

Download Password protexcted: NO
Just one file in the archive is protected. This is a sample file to test the tool.
All the remaining files can be extracted from the archive and run.

the distribution file for cRARk-7z v. 1.2b and cRARk-7z v. 1.1 is pasword protected. "The questions like "What is the arhive password?" will not be answered.. "
Is that all just a joke?
