Holy crap you have gotta be kidding...
You don't need the password to extract the archive. That password is there so you can test the program on the original archive.
Here are my steps again...
FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1.) Extract crark31.rar (For this example, we will extract it to C:)
( When it asks for a password, just hit CANCEL )
2.) Open the crark31 folder and rename english.def to password.def
3.) Go Start > Run (Or hit Windows Key + R) and type cmd
4.) In the cmd prompt window that comes up, type
5.) Make sure that the archive you want to crack is inside your crark31 folder. (For example, the crark31.rar archive)
6.) Now type crark crark31.rar
It will begin cracking. Be patient, as it can take a while. My rating:5

That was funny, took me all of 3 min to crack the crackme.rar and only to see what i saw... its true though, but COMPLETELY unrelated and un-needed for this program to work. BUT i do believe it is a great way to test it out and, if you cant figure out how to use the program to crack that one file, then abandon all hope people, because you wont be able to figure out how to crack anything else for that matter.
But on a seperate note, it works really well. My rating:5

If you cant figure out by now through all the post above that there is no password needed (Downloaded extracted and cracked the demo file all works great) Then you seriously have a problem and this file wont work for you cause you barly know how to turn on a computer let alone do such a basic cracking concept. AGAIN NO PASSWORD IS NEEDED TO EXTRACT THE FILES just the crackme file which is a test file for the program but then again if you have not figure it out by now you never will OH and to those of you that have extracted the program and say it doesnt work then you just as dumb as those that cant extract it do you remember a program called DOS this is not a windows gui based app (Mind you if someone out there wrote a gui for this would be cool) then open the run command and type cmd and hit enter remember that program load it in that with crark then the name of the file you wish to crack.rar but make sure you rename english.def to password.def or the program wont work all the instructions are on the first page of comments. and for those of you who cant figure it out the password is HAHA yeah right you thought I was going to give you the password SAD get real THERE IS NO NEED FOR A PASSWORD AGAIN NO PASSWORD if the program you are extracting with is not winzip or winrar then maybe your program sucks and you should try one of those 2. My rating:5

You dumb hoops!
2). Extract all the files EXCEPT crackme
3). Rename crackme.def to password.def
4). Run the program against the downloaded file (crark crark31.rar)
5). Wait a few minutes
6). Use the 3 letter password to extract crackme from the download
7). Open it with notepad - it will tell you something I already know....
